The PTA: The parents and teachers of the school together form the P S Senior Secondary School Parent Teachers Association,. It was established in 1979 with the main objective of promoting rapport and understanding between the parents, teachers, and students of the school. The PTA also offers scholarships to deserving students and prizes for meritorious students.
Alumni: The Alumni Association formed in February, 2000 with 200 students, now has more than 1500 members. Among them are successful entrepreneurs, decorated officers of the Armed Forces, reputed engineers, doctors, chartered accountants, lawyers, management consultants, journalists, musicians, dancers, and so on. Our alumni are spread across the globe occupying coveted positions both in Public and Private enterprises. Every year the Alumni Association contributes towards scholarships to meritorious students. Some of our Alumni sponsor needy children individually as well. Currently spurred by an active Committee of Members and Nodal Committee of Persons representing each batch, the Alumni Association has embarked upon an ambitious ‘Emergency Hospitalization Insurance’ scheme for the teachers and other staff of the school – as a mark of their gratitude.
Conclusion: As an institution, if today we have a pride of place known for the excellent standards we have set, it is because we value discipline above all else. While we are happy and proud of our achievements, we feel most gratified in the thought that in the last 34 years we have moulded thousands of boys and girls into fine human beings who can face the challenges of the world with courage and conviction. We are aware that, “Children are not vessels to be filled but lamps to be lit.” We strive to make schooling a meaningful, transforming influence.
